Silk Threads Annual Fashion Extravaganza,themed Le Rêve Couture, will be held at the Trammell Crow Museum of Asian Arton Friday, October 5th at 7:00 p.m., and  is sure to bring together fusion,  fashion and art. This year’s annual fashionevent and fundraiser will benefitthe Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County - making a child’s hopes and dreams cometrue. Ruby Bhandari, CEO and Chief Designer of Silk Threads, promises thisnight to be a very special evening filled with many magical and excitingmoments.
“No child should ever suffer the trauma of abuse orneglect and that’s why I am so passionate about working with the Children’sAdvocacy Center of Collin County.  If Iwere not in fashion full time, I would devote myself to social work. This yearthe Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County is our charity of choice and weare excited to support this cause and the needs of children in Collin County,”Bhandari says.
Bhandari reflectsher Indian heritage and her Western sensibility in her designs.  Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County isa non-profit organization that provides safety, healing and justice forchildren victimized by abuse and neglect. A multi-disciplinary team of 200professionals work at the center to investigate, treat and prosecute CollinCounty child abuse.  Since opening, morethan 40,000 children and their non-offending family members have received freeservices.
